It is undeniable fact that technology has advanced manifolds in the previous few decades. Some people argue that because of this people became closer than ever. Having said that, others believe that technology increased the gap between people. In this essay, I will analyze both sides of the argument and explain why I personally agree with the former point of view.
There are many reasons why many people believe that technology has a bitter effect on people's relations. Firstly, many people are spending their leisure time playing mobile games or browsing the internet rather than having a meaningful conversation with friends and family members. This is giving very little scope for building a bond with others. We can see this pattern especially with school kids and young adults. Many people believe that this is hindering their ability to make good relationship.
However, there is another group which believes that technology enabled the people to connect across the world and helped them stay together. For instance, it is not uncommon to make new friends or meet new friends on the internet who stays across the world. Additionally, people are increasingly able to spend lot to time with their family thanks to the technolcal advancements in IT fields. Many organizations are allowing their employees to work from home and spend time with their family which fostering the family bonding. Because of all these reasons it is believed that the technology is really heliping the people to bring together.
In conclusion, it is true that certain age groups are over indulging in virtual world which is damaging their relations with others, but there are so many people who are putting the technolgy to good use and mending their bonds with their closed one's. So I believe technology really helping people to stay together.
