The following table shows the yearly enrollment at Manchester University in the year 1937, 1967 and 2017. It distinctively shows how many students got enrolled and what percentage of them either came from Manchester itself or from overseas.
The Manchester University was popular in 2017 with a steady increase rate from 1997. about 327 students applied for admission in 1997 from where it rose to 6254 in 2017. The statistics shows that among the years the ratio of male to female students remained constant with a slight change in percentage where in 2017 the number of female students increased as compared to in year1997.
Manchester is also popular among the students coming from overseas as well as from the city. Majority of the crowd almost 55% used to be from within 40 miles of the institution in 1997 which then reduced to a mere 1-2%. The number of students coming from abroad increased in number and almost from 102 countries students came to pursue their education.
