LIFE OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM
LIFE OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM mjqQq
Being a sport frantic is not a complete surprise considering my background. I grew up with a father, whom I wouldn’t call passionate, but he showed great zeal when favourite club was playing. He would always spit out facts that I was pretty surprised he knew about. Those little Saturday evenings spent watching our different teams play not only created a strong bond between my father and me and a strong desire within me that maybe someday I would be watched on the screen and be bantered about by other families.
Coming into the Rochester family, I intend to put soccer as one of my go-to’s whenever I put down my books. I not only enjoy talking about it but also playing the sport. It wouldn’t come as a surprise if one day, I get to captain the university’s soccer team one day.
Apart from this boiling passion and desire for soccer, I would engage in any leadership opportunity that comes my way, because I believe that I am up to the task and can take on anything that is thrown my way. You may ask why I am so confident about my skills as a leader, but I was born into a leadership role. Being the firstborn in my culture requires a lot from you. Moreover, I have gotten experience even from my days in primary school when I was a class prefect and in my final year as a school prefect to my days as the President of the Student Representative Council.
