How Internet was used at home by different age ranges in Australia from 2010 to 2011 is demonstrated by the collection of the bar charts. Overall, sending emails was the most popular activity among Australian Internet users compared to the other two purposes namely paying bills or banking and using social network during this period.
There was over 80% of Australian young adults and adults aging from 15 to 34 using internet for surfing social networking sites. This, however, was the least favourable activity among the three as it only appealed 60% of the total residents. In addition, around 65% of people here chose to pay bills and bank money online, especially those who were from 25 to 64 years old.
Regarding exchanging emails, which was mostly favoured by roughly 95% Australians in one year from 2010, there were an intensive use of Internet on this activity, ranging from youngsters to elders. Particularly, more than 80 percent of dwellers in this country did preferred using Internet for sending and receiving emails between 2010 to 2011.
