Some people want academic subjects such as history and physics to be taught in secondary school. Others want practical skills such as mechanical and gardening to be taught. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Some people want academic subjects such as history and physics to be taught in secondary school. Others want practical skills such as mechanical and gardening to be taught. Pbdrw
In modern times, some argue that it is necessary to learn traditionally popular subjects such as history and physics in secondary school, while others believe that learning practical skills and knowledge such as gardening and engineering should be the main focus of education. This essay will discuss both points of view. On the one hand, it is often claimed that nothing is more significant than gaining theoretical knowledge and information in class. One of the main reasons is that if people hope to get a position such as doctors, professors, and lawyers for their future careers, they should be required to obtain high-level degrees, including academic qualifications at university. This is because such occupations are generally based on a wide range of scientific concepts and abstract theories, so to achieve their goals, it would be essential for young pupils to be educated by providing the basic principles of science and intellectual lessons. On the other hand, teaching practical education such as computer sciences and business administration could bring about more positive outcomes for teenagers in the long term. First and foremost, students who have experienced some vocational training and empirical skills can be more competitive in their future job market compared to those who have only studied academic subjects such as pure science and humanities only as employers generally prefer hiring workers with diverse work experience or internship programmes. As a result, it seems to be useful and effective when schools instruct their students on applied and functional subjects in their curriculum. To sum up, although there are two broad perspectives in terms of the directions towards which subjects should be focused in the class, in my view, a balanced course of study incorporating both traditional academic subjects and more practical modern ones should be taught at schools.
