The aim of this study is to teach Turkish as a foreign language by Barış Manço songs; To investigate the teaching of alphabets, words, idioms and proverbs along with basic language skills, increasing motivation, improving pronunciation and its usability in value and culture transfer. In this study, document review and content analysis methods from qualitative research models were used. In the study, the data were collected by examining the songs with the document examination method and the data were analyzed by the content analysis method. The research has a qualitative perspective shaped by the method of scanning and purposefully analyzing audio files. In this study, 137 songs in 5 45's albums released by Barış Manço between 1962-1981 and 12 albums released between 1975-1999 are considered as universe, while 68 songs selected in accordance with the purpose are sampled. Since some of the songs in the 45 and albums are the same, this situation was taken into account when determining the universe and sample. Purposeful sampling technique was used in sample selection. In the study, Barış Manço songs; It has been tried to explain with song examples that it can be used in teaching Turkish as a foreign language. In addition, it is aimed to prepare examples of activities from Barış Manço songs and to make the findings concrete. In the study, it was concluded that Barış Manço songs could be useful in teaching Turkish as a foreign language and that these songs could be used actively. It has been concluded that Barış Manço songs can be used in alphabet and concept teaching, proverbs, idioms and stereotyped lyrics, social values and culture transfer, development of pronunciation and increasing motivation.
