In the past, shopping was a routine domestic task. Many people nowadays regard it as a hobby. To what extent do you think this is a positive trend?

In past times, shopping was like an everyday chores, unlike nowadays. Recently shopping has become pleasant time spending and enjoyable activity. But it is debatable whether it is good or bad trend that has spread among young people, especially teenagers. For elder people, buying food means going to grocery store and buy everything they need, mo more or less, in limited amount of time. While for the teenagers it means going to shopping mall, bying groceries and in the middle of shopping being disturbed by the advertisement. Then they spend even more money on useless things because of the advertisement. Therefore it causes getting in debt. In the past people used to have less money and credit was not available. By contrast, people nowadays can find anything they want in malls. Not only usefull stuff, but comfortable environment, the variety of attractions such as cinema and cafes can make spending money more enjoyable. On the other hand, by shopping in malls teenagers can spend more time together. Unfortunately, with parents working full-time, families barely have time together. So going shopping with your family on the weekends can be the only time, when you can be together. In conclusion, I acknowledge that nowadays shopping means different things for people, but it does not have to have bad consequences. Currently, people enjoy and delight while shopping. Undoubtedly young people this days have more opportunity to buy anything and anytime, therefore they relish it. They can do both activities at the same time: do shopping and enjoying it. In my point of view, they don't interfere with each other
