Technology has changed the world enormously. In the conventional era, competencies like knitting, sewing, repairing were in abundance amongst the people, whereas nowadays these skills are vanishing. The possible reasons why this has occurred and whether the people in my country have these will be discussed in the subsequent paragraphs.
To commence, due to advancements in technology and invention of machines, no one wants to perform these arduous and time consuming works. To put it in other words, in this fast-paced world, individuals are in dire need of saving their time for the chores that are extremely essential, even if they have to spend money in abundance on these things. In order to save this, they are not at all interested in sewing or repairing anything, whether it be clothes or electronic appliances on their own. This can be illustrated by the fact that in the contemporary era, both men and women work to subsidize their families, and they do not have ample amount of time to apprehend these skills. However, in the past, people had plenty of time to inculcate these precious and pecuniary habits.
Furthermore, in India, people who reside in metropolitan cities do not possede these substantial skills because of their hectic lifestyle and dearth of time. However, on the contrary, there are various dwellings, where several old ladies have these competencies to make clothes and other household articles, such as decor pieces. Not only do they do it in their leisure time, but also it is a means of remuneration for some people, as, the more they produce products, the more they earn.
To conclude, although these skills are missing in the newer generations, there are some countries where baby-boomers make the best out of waste with the help of these creative expertises. By taking into consideration the benefits of these, I believe that everyone should learn the basics of these magical competences.
