Recently, in less developed countries, education is considered to be a luxury in distant areas. Many people would argue that providing more schools and teachers is believed to be the solution to this problem. But others think that providing computers and the internet can be a better solution. I consider that providing facilities is the best way. So this essay will address both sides and reflect the writer’s perspective.
On the one hand, there are various reasons why some people consider that equipping computers as well as connecting to the internet is important. From their point of view, the internet is a source of unlimited knowledge for children, so they can easily access websites that have a lot of useful knowledge. Therefore, equipping computers also helps students conduct who can take distance learning courses in developing countries.
On the other hand, I believe that providing more schools and teachers in less developed countries will be the better solution. First, building more schools makes it easy for the students to go to school. They will have a chance to study in school in their local area without traveling through far and treacherous roads every day. For instance, in the high mountains in Viet Nam, there are a lot of ethnic students who always have to walk approximately 15 to 17 kilometers to school every day and return back to home. Besides, another benefit is that school is a better environment for children to improve their basic skills such as communication and teamwork. Another advantage is that teachers play an important role in the school and they can help eliminate illiteracy in remote locations. Teachers are direct instructors for children, so they can teach them about literacy and numeracy which are very important subjects.
In conclusion, I would argue that providing more schools and teachers is a good step in helping children in rural communities have access to education
