How Robotics Are Helping Change the Workforce

As the uses of robot is going to replace the labour workforce in the near future, this is the topic that has been a controversial for years where they are 2 sides believing that the robot and innovative machine will be replacing the human worker someday in the future while the other side stating that there are still some kinds of works that could only be done by actual people only. The innovation and technology have been developed through times aiming to provide convenience and allow people to focus more on the other things, by having a machine substituting the labour works. There is a level distinguished of the possibility of the work that can be replaced by robot or machine. The process of works that associated with predictable data analysis, or the repeatable of data collection, these are the major works that can use the robot instead of human abilities, especially works that are done repeatedly which the actual worker have to perform that specified work again and again for many times. The increased of machine or robot labour really give a big affect to people’s opportunity of getting employed, by using a machine, it requires less paid comparing to hiring some workers. On the other hand, there are still a room available for the workers, some specialized of jobs that can be done by human only, especially works that require expertise and direct interaction with people, such as doctor, nurse and people work as customer services. Another aspect emphasizing that human work is better than robot is that the robot itself has no responsibility in their actions. If they have done things inappropriately or against the regulations, no one will be responsible for the causes and those further effects. In conclusion, there are both advantages and disadvantages of having robot replacing human workers, because both of human and robot can do all the works upons their prodiency. The abilities to work of human and robot should be manipulated according to their expertness, if the robot can be better at a specified works, then it should be allowed to help people in those works, whereas if the human are better in carrying out this specialized jobs, then let the human take care of it. I believe that by having these 2 parties, it can help on human’s job performance as well as time utilization and work efficiency.
