First of all, while studying, your aim should not be to pass your exams but to score full marks or rather study to increase your your knowledge.
What I feel the most important things are:
Pay attention in the class.
Listen carefully to what the teacher is saying.
Clear your concepts, never be afraid of asking questions, however silly they are, never hesitate.
Have a fair idea of what is going to be taught in the class.
Once you start participating in class discussions, you'll be appreciated by your teachers, your personality will take a hike and ultimately this will also increase your interest in the studies. You'll no more feel studies are a burden.
First
