Globalization both sides of the coin

Globalization is characterized by the opening of international borders for faster flows of goods, services, people, finance, and ideas and by the changes in policies that promote such flows. Owing to the fact that not everyone has been benefiting the same from globalization some people have a diverse opinion if globalization should be embraced or not. I agree that globalization should be supported. The first thing to consider is the development of the digital world because of globalization. At the same time, information, books, music are now instantaneously available worldwide. Given people the opportunity to have access to these resources make the scenario more inclusive. Another reason to support the fact is the increase in human exchanges, such as migration and traveling. Cultural globalization allows customs to be shared among local communities. For instance, the intake of raw fish, which is traditional in East Asia, or the commercialization of commodities like coffee that is said to originate in Africa. There is now a global market for companies and consumers who have access to products from different countries. For example, in many grocery stores, there is a dedicated aisle for imported products. It is obvious that globalization has been effective in increasing employment opportunities since multinational companies are investing in installing plants in other countries. Many protectionist critics have pointed out that globalization has created a problem for developed countries, defending the idea that jobs are being lost and transferred to lower-cost countries. However, these countries have much more access to advanced technologies and money, so they have better opportunities than developing countries. In conclusion, globalization cannot be stopped but through the implementation of policies and strategies, it can be more equitable. In my opinion, it is necessary to implement trade regulations and force the competitors to play by the same rules.
