Nowadays, Pre-Uni gap years are so common. Most universities support students taking a gap year as long as they can. A great number of students decided to take a Pre-Uni gap traveling or working before starting university. I fully agree with this idea and in this essay I will discuss how many benefits it can have. Most of students and their parents think that gap year is a time wasting. Furthermore gap year can be expensive. Flights, housing, fees, food - they all need some budget considerations. However, the number of students who want to take a gap year before start studing growing day by day. Taking a gap year to travel can change your life and the way you see the world. Working during gap year means you’ll gain plenty of experience, skills and knowledge, which can be useful with applying for jobs later on. You will be able to build up your resume, things such as volunteer work and sport will help fill out your resume. Moreover, Pre-Uni gap is a good chance to learn new skills, experience new places and learn language. Traveling to the country of the language you are learning will allow you to improve your knowledge of that language and give you the chance to speak with native speakers. You will also have a chance to improve your skills with experts. To summarize, taking an occasional after school will be personal development that gives chance to learn independence and something new. Despite this, this is the choice of everyone, which they must make thyself.
