Explorations and Exchange
Explorations and Exchange lOkGD
Moving on to the benefits of the four world zones being connected, some benefits from a European perspective were that for many European explorers, exploring the New World made them very famous, one good example of this would be Christopher Columbus, a very famous explorer that was famous for not only his discoveries that he wrote about and told to the Kings and Queens of Spain but also the goods he found along the way through trading with Natives People or digging land with his crew members. Moreover, along his way, he encountered the Native people of Arawaks, and Columbus for an explorer was a very smart guy and he used his intelligence on goods to trick the Native people of Arawak into trading with him for their goods instead of his. He did this by showing them fake pearls for jewelry, and many more, then eventually he got a lot of goods from them. He didn’t stop there though, he saw that some rebellion was going on around him when he was trading with the Natives people. Columbus saw that they were built with good bodies but when Columbus showed them sharp steel with a handle, and a sword to the Arawaks they reluctantly held it with their two hands and eventually cut themselves with Columbus doing nothing. However, with their good and well-built bodies, Columbus saw that they would work as fine slaves and then without hesitation enslaved them along with conquering their land for Spain (Columbus).
