Email has replaced written letters
Email has replaced written letters gQJDg
It is often argued that written letters are no longer relevant than email, which has a quick and convenient way of communication. Although I agree that using email has made it easier for people to communicate, it seems to me that written letters are still playing crucial roles in our lives, and people still need them.
On the one hand, email allowed us to connect and deliver our message to the people without worrying about time, weather and border. Email usage has allowed its users to reach specific people by merely sending them emails to their email addresses, which is very economical. Furthermore, email has features where people can track their email history in one thread. For example, a seller sends hundred of promotional emails to prospective customers, and one of them replies to the email. Then, email can automatically show you which customer responded to you, along with the time stamp. That is why email is such a good mode of communication.
On the other hand, written letters are still relevantly needed. Written letters withhold the power of the legal binding in some societies, especially in Asian countries. Furthermore, written letters are more practical because they do not need any internet connection. For instance, in Indonesia, if you have any disputes with some parties, you are highly suggested to make a record of it, write a written agreement letter, and sign it. The degree of validation this written agreement letter holds is higher than the computer-typed ones. Thus, written letters are still essential and demanded in our lives.
In conclusion, though I agree that email is now the handiest mode of communication, I think that written letters should not be left alone since they have a significant role in our community.
