One of the most topical issues in modern society is the increasing amount of power consumption. The causes of this phenomenon are varied and this has led to numerous consequences around the world. This essay will outline the reasons why excessive use of energy is occurring, and offer some measures to tackle this issue.
From an overall perspective, there are two reasons why the expenditure of power has extremely increased. The primary cause of this is overpopulation. The result of the growth in the human population is that the demand for simple living conditions rises considerably, which in turn leads to the expanded use of natural energy. In addition, people waste power resources instead of using them in an economical way. To be more specific, human beings have exploited excessively in many fossil fuel mines, and they burn these materials to produce electricity, but a million people do not save electrical power.
The results of overconsumption of energy are numerous and potentially serious. It is widely known that there is a direct link between using too much energy and climate change. This is due to the over-exploited natural power which can lead to ecological imbalance and the transformation of climate, which manifested through the rainfall change irregularly. Another effect is global warming. The result of a warmer atmosphere, which leads to loss of habitats of fauna and flora because of the melting ice in two poles.
In conclusion, it must be said that over-using power has become a complex issue with no easy solutions. However, I believe that the best solution is to find alternative resources, presumably renewable energy such as solar, wind and tidal power. If the government implements these changes, it will provide a better life for future generations.
