This paper examines the result of cofiring test to evaluate the aspect of operational, economic and environmental in 300 MW coal-fired power plant. The test conducted by mixing 5% of sawdust and 95% of coal as the fuel to compare with the result of using 100% coal firing (no sawdust added). Subsequently, the research found that in term of operational aspect, the NPHR value was 2587. 62 kCal/kWh and the SFC value was 0. 58 for cofiring tested. Furthermore, the research used coal prices and cofiring (combination of coal and sawdust) in kilograms (kg) to evaluate the economic aspect of cofiring tested. Consequently, there was a saving of production cost for coal purchase which accounted for Rp 128, 225, 473/MWh. Moreover, the value of SOx and NOx from the CEMS are used to evaluate the environmental aspect of cofiring. The result showed that the number of SOx and NOX tested in cofiring was not significantly difference to the test of using 100% coal firing. Additionally, the value was still bellow the minimum level of emission for Coal-Fire Power Plant or it was still meet the requirement from the Minister of the Environment of Indonesia. The future research is suggested to increase the proportion of sawdust to 20% until 30% in coal blending. The drying step is also required to avoid the wet sawdust being mixed automatically while blending the coal. Other thing that also need to be considered is cofiring test need to considering the slagging and the fouling which probably occurred faster rather than using 100 of coal as the main fuel while observed from the metal temperature in boiler area.
