Second, as sea levels rise, many humans and animals will be flooded and forced to abandon their homes. As a result, their life will be in grave risk, even the lives of some will end. For example, the tsunami that hit Japan in 2011 killed over 15, 000 people and 50, 000 animals, left 3, 000 people missing, and displaced hundreds of thousands of people and animals. On the other hand, states should use a variety of metrics to address these issues. To begin, the government should enact a new law prohibiting the use of private automobiles in favor of public transportation. As a result, greenhouse gas emissions will be lowered, and people's health will improve. Furthermore, the government should begin erecting block dams to discourage flooded water from approaching populated villages and cities threatened by rising sea levels. For instance, Singapur has constructed and mounted rock barriers to keep water from accessing the cities. To summarize, there is no doubt that global warming and the sea levels will have an impact, but people will be displaced as a result. However, I am convinced that every government can address these issues by putting in place the measures outlined in this essay and reducing risk in a timely manner.
