Television’s benefits agree disagree

Many people claim that watching television can help children to learn more productively and they should be inspired to watch television not only at home but also at school. I agree wholeheartedly with the viewpoint that televisions will assist students in broadening their awareness. This essay will discuss whether certain TV channels can be useful for children. On the one hand, I assume television can be helpful to learners for two reasons. Firstly, pupil can watch TV channels that are profitable for learning, which is extremely attractive to watch such as Discovery channel, Animal planet. It has the potential to assist children in improving their knowledge of one topic, namely biology. Another point to consider is that children can learn new languages by watching international channels on TV and can significantly increase their knowledge. For example, Linebarger and Walker investigated the effects of television channels on children's language skills and found that most multilingual children have learned the language by watching television. On the other hand, encouraging children to watch more television channels leads to their inaction. Furthermore, keeping eye on television constantly causes many health problems in children such as obesity, eye weakness and this, in turn, leads them to deviate from their lessons. For instance, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has reported that long-term use of developmentally inappropriate media poses serious risks to children and serious health problems. In conclusion, while it is accurate that televisions make people less active, I am persuaded that children learn more efficiently when they watch television for the reasons mentioned above
