The line graph illustrates the mean amount of money being received by women in the USA as a percentage of men's earnings between 1975 and 2005 for four different age of group. Overall, it is clearly seen that the general pattern for the last thirty years is increasing. There are several key features which are set out below. Based on the graph, the women of 16 to 24 years old produced the highest wages over all time compared to the other range of groups. The younger women's wages reached a peak in 1985. It continued to rise and remained constant at around 90%. In detail, during the first five years, the two younger age of group has a gentle increase of wages while the other two older age of group fall slightly. For the nest 15 years (1980-1995), all group of ages are rising, especially for women from 25-34 years old that shows a significant surge. During 1995-2000, women from 25 to 34 years old have stable wages at four-fifty of the total percentage, while women wages from 35 to 44 years old was dropped steadily. For the five remaining years, all of them get back to show an upward trend again. All in all, the two younger group of ages nearly reaches 90% of the total wages. On the other hand, the two older group of ages only reaches three-quarter of the total wages, which is 10% lower compared to the two younger age of group.
