Admission averages by Program and Decade

Admission averages by Program and Decade WDJJb
The line graph indicates, in percentage, how the average of students accepted in various programs during the period of time from 1970s to 2010s changes during these years. The program that shows the most dramatic changes is Music, with the highest rate of acceptance, which is 90%, reached in the 1980s and in the 2000s. It has a marked growth between 1970s and 1980s, where the increase was of 30%, than drops until the 1990s and it starts to go up again until the 2000s, reaches the highest number of student admission and falls experiencing a decrease of 25%, until the 2010s. The second program with the highest rate of students’ admission is Science. The graph rises modestly until the 2000s, when it reaches the highest average of 90%. Then, it remains steady until the 2010s. The program with the lowest rate of admission average during this period of time is Arts, whose graph shows a decrease in the first decade, from the 1970s to the 1980s. Then it is shown a gradual increasing until the 1990s where the average is 70% and remains steady until the 2000s. It starts to climb again, reaching the highest average of 80% in the 2010s. Overall, the Science program is the only one that has a slow but constant growth. Meanwhile the Music program, despite reaching the highest percentages registered as well as the Science’s one, has rapid increasing and decreasing during all the period considered, and the Art program, even if experiences moderate changes during the years, remains the one with the lowest admission rate
