The line graph illustrates the acid levels in mouth after the intake of sugars from three differen food items(fruits, sugarcane, honey). As the chart indicates lesser the PH value higher the acid value. There are likely chances for the occurance of tooth decay at the PH level 5. 5. Looking into the overall perspective, the chart compares the change in PH level over 40 min of time after the consumption. At the initial stage of intake all the three different sugars PH level is 7 which is the base point. Regarding the increase in time, the acidity increases. With in the time span of 5min of consumption the acidity levels of three sugars dropdown to the large extent. After 5min the the acidity of sugars starts decreasing and reaches the same Ph level where it started in 40min. When it comes to the sugars from Cane sugar, it has the higher rate of acidity. When the time increases to 5min the Ph level has fallen dramatically to 3. 5 which indicates the more acidity. Likewise, the fruit sugar has the second highest acidity levels, as the Ph level falls to 4. 5 after completion of 5min. On the other hand the third sugar item honey falls to to the pH level of about 5 which is preferable for the tooth decay. As the higher acidity level results in tooth decay, the cane sugar is considered to be the most harmfull sugar among three different sugars.
