The graph illustrates the amount of tons of steel produced and number of them demanded in the steel industry in the UK in 2010.
Overall, throughout the period, the amount of steel production in the UK declined significantly and actual demand for it kept its position. As a result, the gap between them narrowed cinsiderably, by the end of the period.
The trend for steel production increased from 4000 million tonnes to 6000 million tonnes between January and March. This followed by levelling if its first figure untill August. Manufacture of steel underwent a peak of the same level as the March figure, before a dramatical fall to a slightly less than 1000 tonnes.
