Dear Ms. Kimberly,
I am Nicole Harris’s mother. I have been informed by my daughter about a three-day school trip to Canada this July, organized through the collaboration between her school and Jill Travel Firm. She also told me that you would like some parents to accompany the children on their way to the destination.
I hope that I can go on this trip with my child. To be quite honest, Nicole has trouble traveling by airplane as she always feels jet lag and gets terrible headaches after landing, no matter how long the trips are. Consequently, I did my best to prevent her from suffering airsickness. However, this time, she begged me to allow her to join her classmates, which made me feel compassionate. I would like to ensure that Nicole will be fine so that she can have an enjoyable holiday, and no other kids might be bothered by her issues. Moreover, I have been to Canada quite a few times, so I can serve as a hospitable tour guide for the children. I will also prepare essential medical assistance in case anyone does not feel well.
Nevertheless, I have some concerns over the travel schedule on the second day. As far as I know, the children are going swimming at a public pool from 1: 30 to 2: 30 in the afternoon. I think that is the hottest time of the day, which might cause the water in the pool to become extremely hot and damage the children’s skin. Additionally, intense sunlight at midday might harm the kids’ health, and they could suffer sunstroke. It would be better for them to swim at dusk when the sun goes down and the temperature drops a little bit.
