Whoever controls the media also controls opinions and attitudes of the people and there is little can be done to rectify this. To what extent do you agree or disagree.

Whoever controls the media also controls opinions and attitudes of the people and there is little can be done to rectify this. 9Y7J0
The controllers of media governs the opinion and character of their viewers and only limited ways are available to correct this. In my opinion, I believe that this statement has a valid point, because media affect the thinking of people in many ways. To begin with, let us dig deeper into how the media holders influence the attitude and thinking of people. Although the mass media is considered as the best medium to express the people’s opinion on general issues, but this case in individual controlled media is totally different. Most of the opinions shown in media are not the views of public, because those are the views of the media holders. For instance, reports show that a major proportion of media in India are owned by either political parties or even just business people who want to determine the direction of public issues. Furthermore, the media sources controlled by any individual or group can manage the approach of people towards a person or organisation by spreading fake news. Whenever misinformation is spread through media regarding any product of a company, it will create panic among their customers and they will stop purchasing it. As an illustration, in Kerala a small scale carbonated drink production firm was shut down by the natives when a fake news went viral through media regarding the company. In conclusion, I strongly agree that whoever controls the media has an impact on the behaviours and viewpoints of people and rectifying this is not an easy task.
