We could save us from time-consuming efforts, like getting ready or being in traffic congestion for long hours in order to reach malls or department stores. Moreover, it has provided a 24-hour services, so time difference is not a matter any more. We are able to do shopping while the sellers are sleeping which is not viable in face-to-face purchasing. In addition, it is an environment conducive to selling without high taxation. Therefore, even a person does not have a real shop, he or she can have their own place in online platforms and make a living effortlessly. On the other hand, this modern way of shopping has its own drawbacks. First and foremost, people are not eager to go shopping in-person due the comfort that online shopping has brought to them. Consequently, shop owners are imposed a great financial loss which bring about depression for nations. Also, not all online shopping are trustworthy, in many cases they abuse people's trust and despite indicating something of high-quality to customers, they send something else. Unfortunately, cyber police are not able to pursue these criminals, so people have to accept the loss of their money. This hang-up does not exist in in-person shopping. In conclusion, it can be deduced that online platforms for shopping have both upsides and down sides. Not only do they enable us to purchase anything at anytime, but also they remove distance so we can buy from anywhere. Conversely they have abundant disadvantages too.
