Nowadays the use of study aids issues have become more important for the education system. Some people believe that it is unfair when you use some advantages like the internet, others believe in abilities which you can get from using these tools. In this essay I will explain why I agree that it is not a fair reflection of a student’s ability.
To begin with, students have to show their progress and skills for the last years which they have got. The education system wants to see what in your mind and your ability to find some information without tools. Students who are sitting at the maths exam must understand how to count numbers without the calculator and to be advanced doing this with their own possibilities. To illustrate, workers who used to be with tools to calculate numbers can be in the situation, when they don’t have an access to computers and their skills of using technology to get knowledge will be cut off.
There is also, however, another argument
for my position. The education system has to provide true knowledge and skills for students which they must show at the exams without searching information from the internet. Tools can be used for cheating and will not show us their level. For instance, in the history exam the use of tools will illustrate to us skills of searching some information from the sources instead of showing real knowledge. As a result, level of education will be decreased.
In summary, we can see that there are complex of issues which we have to solve. My personal view is that students must be not allowed to use tools at the exam by the reason of they will not show their skills and knowledge and as a result, we will lose faith in the education system.
