trips made by children in one country in 1990 and 2010

trips made by children in one country in 1990 and 2010 0VG
The graphs below, are offering information about the trips children have done in the country to and from school, on a variety of transportation types, comparing two different decades as 1990 with 2010. Overall, the figure shows the comparison between different types of transportation children between the ages of 5 and 12 years old, have used to utilize in order to travel to and from school, showing the average of number of trips per year in millions, comparing 1990 to 2010, having a perspective of the evolution and changes trhoghout the years. By 1990, car passenger was utilized less than double it was used by 2010, on the other hand there is a significant contrast with walking, as this was consistently used by children in 1990 with over 12million trips, which means slightly over double than it was in 2010. In contrast, the use of cycles to travel to and from school in 2010 has been reduced in almost a third part compared to 1990 that showed slightly over 6 million trips. Even though this is a considerable number is not as drastic as the use of car passenger or simply walking. The two following graphs offer information about the use of walking and bus, having them mixed, showing that in 1990 almost 6 million trips were made by children on either bus or walking, and in 2010 there was a reduction of almost double, with around 5 million trips. On the other hand, the use of bus only has remained more constant compare to the other modes of transport, having over 6 million trips in 1990 and diminishing around 1 million in 2020. This graphs are showing the trends about transportation children have tend to use from one decade to the other, exposing the most significant changes in 10 years with a relevance of the use of car instead of the use of simply walking to and from school. On the other hand, it seems that cycling has also reduced the use on children, being the least used in 2010 with 2 million trips, which can be contrasted to the car passenger which has drasticaly increased over the last 10 years.
