In this day and age, the topic of transportation is receiving much attention from the public. While numerous people tend to use public transport, others prefer using personal vehicles. Although there are some drawbacks personal transport creates, I lean toward the point of view that its benefits outweigh disadvantages. In this piece of writing, I will disscuss the pros of private transport together with comparing to public transport. Although public transport is more environmentally friendly and enery-saving, private transport is of paramount importance. First of all, people travelling by their own vehicles can choose suitable time while public vehicles have schedules that passengers must follow. Passengers of buses or trains cannot change itineraries and plans. Secondly, travelling by cars and motorbikes is faster than using public vehicles. Travellers may reach to destinations quickly by convenient ways. Last but not least, having private cars, motorbike creates feeling of ownership and comfortability. Furthermore, having personal vehicles is the method to reduce public expenditure of government spent on investing and reconstructing public transport. Besides, car ownership and motorbike ownership also contribute to economic develoment since the rise of taxes on personal vehicles in today life. Lastly, if the number of personal transport grow, the power of national economy will be proved. To sum up, although utilizing public transport is the best way to save energy and money, I totally believe that personal transport is more convenient and appopriate to travellers in modern life. People, therefore, should balance between using public transport and private vehicles to develop economy and protect the environment.
