The restoration of old buildings in major cities around the world costs enormous amounts of money. This money would be better spent on providing new housing and road development. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, Across the globe number of people believe upcoming infrastructure projects are better than the renovation of ancient buildingI agree with the given statement, because due to overpopulation in metropolitan areas, the demand of houses and roads have been going up. Therefore, government should allocate more money to new constructions. This essay will discuss why government should spent on new buildings and roads. Firstly, there are many new technologies have arrived which can be used in construct new infrastructures. It is not only enhancing the longevity of building, but also offers better facilities and modern means of living for the people who are living in urban areas. In addition, these modern infrastructures always help to grow economy of the country. For an example China has highest infrastructure development compared to other nations in last decade. Therefore, Spending money on new development is more advantageous for the government. However, there are Some of the old of buildings holds cultural, Religious and traditional value to the country. For example, Temple of Tooth relic in Sri Lanka. This kind of temples and valuable ancient buildings must be carried out for our next generations. So that’s also important to spend money for restoration and maintenance of those. To conclude, I agreed that certain valuable ancient building need to be maintained. But Government should give more priority to construct the new buildings and roads than spending their revenue on old buildings.
