Some people say that travel helps us to appreciate other cultures. How true is this statement? Do you think that people who travel a lot appreciate other cultures more than those who stay at home?

Some people say that travel helps us to appreciate other cultures. How true is this statement? Do you think that people who travel a lot appreciate other cultures more than those who stay at home? AllO3
When the issue of whether travel helps us appreciate other cultures comes to view, there are conflicting opinions. Some people are convinced that there is no effect on cultural knowledge by travelling, while others assert the statement, and they believe that travelling makes you have more appreciation than staying at home. From my perspective, I agree entirely with the latter. To begin with, travelling gives you a first-hand experience, which helps you a lot in learning about other cultures. To be more specific, this experience brings a distinct point of view about this practice. Moreover, you can have a chance to explore the culture by your-self participation. Indeed, if you want to learn about wet rice civilization, some weather-worn experience is worthful. Moreover, people's lifestyles serve as a perfect aspect of the culture. Enjoy a day-life of the native can help you connect with the people and through that, you can learn much from them. What can be inferred from all of this is that you can not deny the importance of self-experience when learning about a new culture. Some people still have scepticism; they believe that burying yourself in some guidebook or mass information is an excellent way to learn about other cultures without travelling. However, it is tedious and cannot evoke your interest in travelling. You can sink into the book but can not view the outside world.
