Overall, the journeys made by car had increased and journey made by bicycle, train and other forms of transport have decreased, in 2000 when compared to 1975, whereas excursions made in miscellaneous forms of transport have remained almost the same.
In 1975, the most commonly used transport was train, which was used for one-third of all the journeys. Car was used for almost one-third of the trips. Bicycle was the third popular option used for slightly under one third of all the excursions. Other forms of transport was used for a tiny fraction of all journeys.
