THE POWER OF EFFECTIVE OUTPUT

THE POWER OF EFFECTIVE OUTPUT Y5BwN
Most people might think learning is all about input. We think that, as much as we consume, we know more, but most of the time, it slips out of our minds within a week or two, right? So, how can we effectively retain something we've acquired? There's a set of books called "The power of input" and "The power of output" by dr. Kabasawa. He mentions a few brilliant ideas that I want to share. Firstly, there should be a golden ratio of how much percent you are going to read and how much percent you are going to do an effective output. It says that majority of the people do 70% input and 30% output. However, it should be an opposite - 30% reading and 70% should be dedicated to output which is actually pretty hard, because think how many hours you consume something in a day and how many hours do you spend to create, to share, to summarize? So, this means that we are actually doing wrong amount of input and output. And we should fix that. Because the only way to change the quality of our learning is doing output. We can read lots of books but if we don't take any action from that book or whatever it is, then it doesn't mean anything, nothing changes in our life. So, let me share some easy ways to do an effective output so that you will be able to remember everything you read or everything you would like to remember. 1)Take the best ideas while you read. 2) Revisit and revise your notes when you finish the book. 3)Categorize and file your notes. So, the whole attitude is, you are kind of creating like an exterior brain that organizes the stuffs that you took from the book. And the reason why this kind of system is so effective at helping us to retain more of what we read comes down to how our brains process information. Over time we'll develop a sorting process to help us determine what information to hold onto in our explicit memory. And this allows you to prioritize the information that important for you. So, the first step is taking notes. What author recommends is that after reading a book, it can be either finishing a chapter write at least 3 things, create 3 to-do list. I'm sure, there going to be things you realize that you'd like to change in your life. And taking actions from what you've just read is exactly outputting. And the next perfect way to do an output is sharing, like I'm doing now. This is also one of the reasons why I'm sharing this, to make sure I've inputted to my memory efficiently and trying to output what I've learnt. And if you repeat the output process more than 3 times within 2 weeks after input your brain stores it as a long term memory. Another perfect way of sharing you can create a healthy discussion around the book. With doing so, you can leverage your reading experience into a speaking experience and there's nothing better than sharing your knowledge with others. It's going to help you to organise your thoughts and with your comprehension - something that a lot of people struggle with. So, I think it's such a loss to not share. Actually, this book has much more to cover, I guess. But I think, this habit is going to set you apart. Because 99% of the people in the world are going to be too lazy to follow this process. And if you say l want to continually grow myself over the years and yes, it's really not an overnight process. People can ask what is the one best book? I think, there's no one book that going to catapult your success and take you to another level. It's a growth process. Let's say, you are like a tree in the forest. You have to water yourself, water your mind and it's going to produce the fruits of those efforts over years. So, this is about you, becoming the biggest tree by following right steps and watch how it affects your life. But if you are not applying those lessons which you are learning, it's pretty much meaningless. And the most difficult part is exactly applying those things into your life. Although most of us already know what we have to do, but don't forget that growth doesn't come from the comfort zone.
Most
people
might
think
learning is all about
input
. We
think
that, as
much
as we consume, we know more,
but
most of the time, it slips out of our minds within a week or two, right?
So
, how can we
effectively
retain something we've acquired? There's a set of
books
called
"
The power of input

"
The power of output

Firstly
, there should be a golden ratio of how

So

fix
that.
Because
the
only
way to
change
the quality of our learning is
doing
output
. We can
read
lots of
books
but
if we don't take any action from that
book
or whatever it is, then it doesn't mean anything, nothing
changes
in our life.
So
,
let
me share
some
easy ways to do an effective
output
so
that you will be able to remember everything you
read
or everything you would like to remember. 1)Take the best
ideas
while you

. 2) Revisit and revise your notes when you finish the

. 3)Categorize and file your notes.
So
, the whole attitude is, you are kind of creating like an exterior brain that organizes the stuffs that you took from the

something that
a lot of

So
, I

it's
such a loss to not share. Actually, this

But
I

, this habit is going to set you apart.
Because
