The possible causes for this low rate of employement among women in Turkey.

With the second wave of feminism, the rate of employement among women started to seen as an issue. Women started to declare their rights in the public areas which is created by men, merely for men. Women has never seen even as a human being by men’s perspective; therefore, women became disadvantaged group in society. It is obvious that there are two main reasons why women seen in this way are patriarchal society we live in and unequal acces to education. It is known that we live in a society which is based on men and it is called partriarchy. Mentality of patriarchy is being towards to women and create role of women by looking at their biological facilities. Due to the fact that they can give a birth and ability of becoming a mother, their identity created by men in a way that makes women weak in a society, so that they could create priority for themselves and take over the control. Even after modernization in Turkey, the role of women reinforced by many different images using technological improvements. In fact, the power of patriarchy became stronger, but they always faced with the resistance of women. The other essential factor is unequal acces to education. Because women seen as a second class people throughout the history, it has not been thought that they deserve an education. They think that women have not enough brain capacity to think like men. So, they always be excluded from any field of training. Moreover, owing to the discrimination, the history is written by men in favor of men, so, unwillingly, women continued their unvisibility through the history. In fact, it effects the rate of unemployement of women in Turkey, because they are still not be able to get as well-qualified education as men have. Nowadays, however, there is a change in society achieved by women’s struggle towards the system. As a result, without the labor of women, there would be no evolution in any areas of society anymore. After realizing the importance of women, a number of companies and governments started to make policies for the benefit of women. However, it is not such a real benefit that women gain preciesly. There is still enormous obstacles for women to be equal with men and increase their numbers in every sides of society.
