The most important aim of science should be to improve people’s lives. To what extant do you agree or disagree with this statement?

The issue of improving people’s lives through science has grown importance over the past few decades. It is said that the first priority of science should be to make people’s lives better. I strongly agree with this view because of two primely reason for this. First of all, the main purpose of scientists should be to address people’s issues (global issues) that lead to individuals' convenience and comfort. In the past, people suffered from fast communication with others around the world and global trade problems, that with the advancement in technology and the invention of the internet, all of these issues could assist and now world changed to global village. In addition, in turns of medicals improvement, some kind of sever diseases that people struggled with them in the past, nowadays, scientists find suitable solution to overcome them. Moreover, if the aim of science is not to improve people’s lives, it can result in human disasters. Over the past decades, whenever scientists did not consider improving people’s lives and just enhanced their knowledge, the world observed huge problems, and these were a threat to people’s lives. Take nuclear energy, for example, which is used for war purposes instead of using sustainable energy. As a result, it may bring about the mortality of thousands of humans. So, scientists must take in to account people’s lives at the beginning of each inventions. Overall, I believe improve people’s lives should be consider as a major priority by scientists in order to decrease numerus serious disasters and tackle necessity people’s problem.
