The Lost Colony of Roanoke

There were 116 people on the island of Roanoke. Only 1 person survived what happened when John white was gone from Roanoke for 3 years. The Lost Colony Roanoke is an interesting case that may never be solved. The 3 things that I will be writing about are the theories, The summary of what happened and The Questions I want answered. The summary of what happened to the lost colony of Roanoke, England wanted to make a colony in North America after Christopher Columbus found it in 1492. So Englend sent 116 people to North America on the Elizabeth II, in 1587 and headed to North America. When they got to North America they set up a colony on an island called Roanoke but they had very little food and lacked the ability to farm or fish and hunt. So they sent John White the governor of the new colony, to England to get food and supplies to bring back to the colony. But it took him 3 years to come back because the war with Spain delayed him from coming back for 3 years. When he came back there were no people and every one on Roanoke was gone but he did find a trunk with Crotion on it. Some of the theories out there about the Lost Colony of Roanoke are strange and weird. Here I will list all 4 of the most popular theories about what happened to The Lost Colony of Roanoke. The stones supposedly told the story of what happened to the Lost Colony of Roanoke. They are called dare stones because they were written by Eleanor Dare john whites daughter. But most people have said that they think it was a hoax and was not real. In the beginning of my research I had some Questions about The Lost Colony of Roanoke and what and why they go missing and why would anyone try to hurt them. In this I will be going through what I found out about the Questions. Question 1 What happened to the people of Roanoke and why: What happened to the people of Roanoke is debited still today and it was 400 years ago. But people are still trying to find out what and why. Some people say that they were murdered as was seen in the theory above and why is still maybe they were mean to the indian tribes and they killed them no one knows for sure yet. Question 2 What led up to this happening: What led up to this happening is that England wanted to colonize North America and so they sent a lot of people over and John white came back to see everyone missing.
