The graph illustrates the number of tourists who visited the United Kingdom betwean 1979 and 1999 as well as the amount of UK residents travelling to abroad countries, while the bar chart displays the most visited countries by the travellers from the UK in 1999.
The most popular travel destinations were france and spain accoring to the chart. The number of people visiting the UK has never eceeded the ones traveling out of the Kingdom.
A steap and stedy rise could be observed from approximetly 1958 among the residents leaving the county, meanwhile a moderate increase occured in the foring visitors creating an increasingly larger gap betwean the two. This results in a roughly 20 million people difference in 1999.
With regards to the most popurar travel destinations, france was the favourit with over 10 million visiters, however spain is not far off with just under the 10 million mark. The other countries are separated by just a few million, but overally quite far behind.
