The importance of river in reagion
The importance of river in reagion QD5A1
I'm living in India and we have really special importance for rivers. We reckon them the mother of nature.
here I'd like to talk about one of the rivers which have a significant role in my region.
This is non another than the Narmada river.
I came to know about this river from my school syllabus.
The Narmada is the largest west-flowing river in the peninsula, rising near Amarkanthak mountain in Madhya Pradesh.
It is the largest river in India and the largest one in Gujarat.
I believe the water of Narmada has equal significance for both young and old generations.
It is said that by taking a bath in the holy Narmada river, man can be freed from all the sins of his life.
Moreover, the water of Narmada purifies a man and helps him in attaining salvation.
In addition, In the past decade, the Indian government had made a huge statue nearby the Narmada river, which is known as the statue of Unity. In the present year this place become the most eye-catching tourist-attracting place.
Furthermore, the Gujrat government has built the Sardar Sarovar dam on this river. this dam provides electricity to 3112 villages as well as the water supply for farming.
