The graph below shows the average monthly change in the prices of three metals during 2014. jp098
The line graph illustrates the median changes per month in costs of copper, nickel and zinc in 2014.
Overall, copper and zinc remained scarcely the same, while expenses on nickel experienced a dramatic decline. From the element which had the highest price, nickel hit the bottom at the end of the year. Nevertheless, copper and zinc appeared in second and first place, in turn.
The nickel was significantly falling until the march, and after 60 days, in May, it decreased sharply again, but in this case, to its low point of -3 per cent in comparison to the month before. Afterwards, it had repeatedly levelled off and dropped, but at long last, the element soared in October to 1 per cent and remained stable.
What about copper and zinc, they started the year with 2 per cent, appropriately. In spite of the fact that zinc had more considerable fluctuations during this period than its opponent, as the year finished, its result increased by 1 per cent, whilst copper faced a downturn of 1 per cent.
