Task 2: Some people think young people are not suitable for important positions in the government, while other people think it is a good idea for young people to take on these positions. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

In today’s modern world, young adults have more opportunities to seek job vacancies in a plethora of categories. While some people think that youngsters are not relevant for crucial positions in the government, I maintain that it is a good chance for them to take on these positions due to their creative and thriving skills. On the one hand, several people argue that older and experienced bureaucrats should be responsible for these key positions in the authorities, as these positions require a wide range of experience, which is also a requirement that many young people lack due to their short seniority. With many years of work, they are fully equipped with experience, especially in decision making to deal with some urgent problems as well as unexpected issues effectively. As a result, work would be resolved satisfactorily and the work process would not be negatively affected due to their professional skill set. On the other hand, I concur that it is a good idea to give them opportunities to be accepted in the system of the government as they have dedication and enthusiasm. As a result, they would bring innovations and creative solutions to pressing problems. For instance, a group of teenagers in Vietnam has made a music video in order to raise the awareness of people about the Coronavirus outbreak, and this campaign was received a lot of positive reactions owing to its meaningful message. In other words, their novelty in the approach to a problem has partly solved the disease problem in Vietnam, particularly in decreasing the number of infectious patients during the epidemic. In conclusion, when many individuals maintain that these significant roles in the government should be given to experienced people with long seniority, I think that youngsters should be given promotions because of their abilities for creative labor. In my opinion, a job position should not be decided by people’s working ages but should be decided by their performances at work.
