Bangladesh has obtained The UN certificate of graduation.
General Assembly of the United Nations has put Bangladesh forward for the exemption of LDCs based on the decision made on the 40th plenary conference of the 76th session. The session took place last Tuesday, says the notice of the ministry of finance.
AHM Mostafa Kamal, honorable finance minister, described this success as a " Historic Achievement" and entitled it an extraordinary milestone of Bangladesh's journey on the ladder of development. Along with Bangladesh, according to the UN website, two of our neighbors: Nepal and Laos, availed the same recommendations from the UN. They will have five years of preparedness to be named as developing countries.
