Sports can reduce tension.

It is undeniable these days that sports are getting more and more popular and different sports events have been helding all around the world, ranging from local competitions to the World Cup. Susequently, some people tend to concern if sports events are really advantageous such as easing tension and developing patriotic emotions. From my perspective, it has tons of benefits for people. To begin with, sports contribute the world to be united in particular ways. For example, a people from a country need to communicate with people from different countries due to sporting events. Thus, we have more chance to socialse with others and learn their unique culture, which reduces discrimination and makes people appreciate to others. As a result, it is certain that misunderstanding and tension between nations have already reduced. In addition, seeing that most athletes who are admired by the public are not only strong physically but aslo have respectful attitudes. Not only would they do the best for peak performance to represent their countries but also they tend to support those who might be better than them. This sort of team spirit would build stronger relationship between countries and enhance patriotic emotions. To conclude, people tend to connect with people from foreign countries, especially sportspeople and authorities. Also, a sportsperson whose perseverance and hard work become a representation for a nation and a role model for people from all walks of life. No doubt international sporting events including the football World Cup tend to release tensions and make people united as one.
