Some say that news has no connection with most people’s lives, and it is a waste of time for most of us to read newspapers and watch television news programs. Do you agree or disagree?

Some say that news has no connection with most people’s lives, and it is a waste of time for most of us to read newspapers and watch television news programs. V8V9K
There is an opinion that we are squandering time for most of us to read newspapers and watch television news programs which are irrelevant to most of our lives. I believe that I would agree with that for two reasons. First of all, If we had a desire for new information, it would have an adverse effect on our daily tasks. Because when we want to know what is happening all over the world we would cease what we are conducting, particularly, students may disrupt their studies and adults might stop their jobs to check or watch news. Therefore, when we absorb more unnecessary information, which would reduce our productivity in studies and work, and kill our time. Secondly, reading and watching irrelevant news not only affect our tasks, but also cause numerous health-related problems. Because some people stay up late to check news and after a long period of time this has a negative impact on our mental and physical health. For example, many of them use their smartphones or laptops in the dark for a long time, which cause eye-related diseases, or they could read some negative irrelevant news, which could affect their emotions for the rest of the day. Therefore, this wastes our time when we read them. In conclusion, reading and watching unrelated news which do not connect with our lives is a waste of time and these cause more harm than good for our daily tasks and health.
