There are various reasons for people when deciding where to settle, in a big city, or a small town. Some people find it more advantegous to live in a big city, while others are willing to live in a small town. Obviously, peoples’ characteristics influence their decision on where to live, as well as age is significantly impoartant facotor for this preference. However big cities has very much to offer, I personnaly prefer to live in a small town as some of the drawbacks of big cities are outweigh their advanteges. Most of the young people tend to live in a big city due to the fact that big cities have very appealing opportunities for them. One significant factor is that the vast amount of job offerings available in a big city. Hence, many of the fresh graduates are moving to big cities after graduation from the university. Additionally, big cities offer a better social life, which is another charming factor for the youngsters and people who doesn’t like to live a monotoneous life. Most of the big cities in the World, offer a broad range of opportunities for various kinds of sports and art events such as concerts, sports organizations, art galleries, theaters, . . Famous bars, clubs and restaurants also are an important part of a social life. All of those are remarkable advanteges of the big cities for people who are willing to live there. Besides all of those appealing offerings, some people still love to live in small cities. The main reason could be that as the people get older, their priorities change. Generally old people like to live in quite places and all the hustle and bustle of the big cities is the most significant drawback. I personally like to live in a peaceful place where is not very crowded. Also, traffic conjunction is the other main reason why some people are escaping from the big cities. Considering the time spent in the traffic is nearly 2 hours a day in a big city. People can do many other things in that time than wasting it on the traffic. The amount of pollution of the big cities is another reason for people who prefer to live in a small city. I like to go walking in the nature as much as I have free time. In a big city someone has to drive a lot to go to such a place. Due to all these reasons small cities are more attractive to me to live in. All in all, both the big cities and small towns have their own pros and cons. It is up to people to consider which are more important for their life. However these preferences can change over time according to age and conditions in life, for now the pros of living in small town is more preferable to me.
