Humans are innately inclined to follow the lifestyle of their role models. In this frame of reference, social factions have polarized views about the most influential segment of society. While some beileve that media has the significant influence on the way people live; however, others are of the faith that public is under the supremacy of politician in their living standard. This essay will discuss both views by considering the core aspects of each side; however, I believe that media technology is more powerful tool to reshape the lives of individuals. The first perspective that narrates the authority of politician in human life is generally backed by the traditionalists; they bluntly adovocate the pragmatism of the practice by considering the core aspect such as provision of basic rights. According to this doctrine, if people follow their leader's commands in their way of living, their ruler will provide them all the facilities needed in the area to make their lives comfortable. Admittedly, deprived and weak segment is always under pressure and occupied by those in power and authority and are dependent on them to maintain their standards. A fine example that further strengthen the case is the political influence of Pakistan Peoples Party in the rural areas of Sindh, despite their worst living standards. On the other hand, the impact of media on human lives is a modernistic stance that has ardently been endorsed by the people of walks of life. The ongoing media trends has changed the perspective of live drastically and people are now trying to live free and independent life without any political influence or threat. Furthermore, many areas around the world are now becoming more independent and self-sufficient and their citizens are not in the control of their leaders just because of awareness created by media in them. For instance, due to strong media campaign in Karachi, people are now living freely without any violent political enforcement in the region. In conclusion, although both media and politician has strong tendency to change individual's life, the role of media is primarily more significant in reshaping the lives of people positively with any tyranny or conflict.
