Nowadays discussion about architecture of the cities became a centre of an attention. Many people hold the view that government should control the design of buildings in big cities. Others, however, claim that people who allocate funds on the costruction of buildings are free to design it as they see it. This essay will discuss both points of view and agree in favor of the former. On the one hand, the design of one building can damage the architecture of whole city. In a big cities especially if it is a capital all buldings should match with each other. For instance, government in Venezia ban the construction of buildings in a modern design as it doesn't match with historical classic styled estates. Furthermore, some tourists visit old towns to enjoy ancient style of the city, while new houses can damage the beautifull sightseeing and tourists impression. This kind of tourism based on ancient architecure can bring a lot of incomes to the country. On the other hand, there is an argument that we live in a democracy and have a rights to choose our own design and style of own buildings. In other words, government don't have any rights to restrict the design of constructed buildings. Thus, every person can construct whatever he want. For example, in the Spain government allow to build modern costructions in front of old historical apartments. For this futuristic design Madrid became famous all over the world. To conclude, I strongly believe that government should control the architecture of the cities as big cities need to be aestetical and can atrract more people with good design.
