There are some people who believe that education is only about academics, and non-academic subjects should be omitted. I firmly hold a belief that removing non-academics is not a judicious decision since these subjects are advantagous in many aspects. This essay will discuss a number of these benefits. Children need physical activities. Today, in the era of information technology, they are sitting in front of their computers more than ever. In addition, most of them nowadays own other digital devices, such as tablets, cell phones, and gaming consoles. Hence, many kids prefer not to play sports outside the home, choosing instead to spend time with these modern appliances. As a result, cordinal and visionary illnesses would be common from early ages. However, implementing non-academic subjects can improve the situation to a great extent. The other reason why I support the notion that every curriculum should include non-academics is that they provide assistance to enhance several important skills. Playing games with other kids of the same age gives them the opportunity to foster merits beyond what they learn in the class room. For example, through these wins and losts they realize the importance of teamwork, leadership, competitiveness, and they learn how to behave when they lose. These capabilities are definitely helpful for their future life, especially their career. In conclusion, academic and non-academic subjects are two essential wings of the education, and together they can prepare a child to be successful in his life. Therefor, every syllabus need to contain both of them.
