Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing you this letter to express the reason why I was running late to work for the last seven days. First, I am extremely sorry for this. The reason why I was late to work was that I had to drop my niece every morning at school prior to I go to my work. My sister and her partner are out of town for a week due to their work commitments whereas my parents, and her grandparents both reside in Hong Kong. Thus, I am the only one left to be trusted to look after my niece. In addition to this, her school location is extremely far from my workplace. It takes 45 minutes to reach to my work from her school. Again, I am immensely sorry for showing up to work late, and I hope I did not create any disturbance at work by being late. I assured you that from now on, I will come to work on time, and I make sure to be there 15 minutes earlier. Thank you for paying attention to this matter.
