Today, opinions are divided into whether it is beneficial for children to be at home until six or seven years old or attending school early. While the latter may bring some minor merits, I hold the view that going to school at a certain age could significantly benefit kindergarteners.
Admittedly, advantages from going to primary school as soon as possible only a few. The fact is that this can allow kids to gain more knowledge due to a long period of studying, resulting in a solid foundation from an early age. Take learning English, for instance, with children’ fresh memory, they can easily memorize a number of vocab, grammar and familiarize themself with foreign accents. This may lead to outperformance and higher academic results compared to those who attend school later.
Notwithstanding the above mentioned pros, I believe that enrolling in an educational institution at six or seven years old would be conducive for kids, owing to their development of consciousness and physics. Specifically, reports show that in this age, kindergarteners are fully able to acquire knowledge, process information and be healthy enough to engage in extracurricular activities at school. Indeed, over six years old is a commonly suitable age for starting primary school in many nations including Vietnam, China, and Korea. As a result, children may receive a proper education, which gives rise to a strong growth.
In conclusion, despite the positive points of starting schooling considering children’ academic performance, I am of the opinion that they should be permitted to register educational institutions when over six years old because of personal development.
