Due to increasing globalization and tourism, many linguistics believe that there should be a single international language for communication among people from different nations. Undoubtedly, it will limit the traditions and cultures but definitely save everyone's time and money in learning different languages. Therefore, I firmly agree with the statement that the demerits of introduction of one language worldwide will not outweigh the advantages it offers. To begin with, with introduction of one language globally will lead to decline of certain cultures prevailing in the different sections of the societies. The fact can not be denied that the any language created originally from people's day-to-day communication and hence, this step lead to extinction of certain communities. For instance, the Punjabi folk songs will be forgotten as the individuals will not enjoy the sounds when they will be translated into another language. As a consequence, the language will extinct among future generation because parents will more emphasize on an international language. On the contrary, the introduction of one language in the whole world will save people's money and time in learning different languages. When a person has to visit abroad for travel, work or study, he spend his hard-earned money and time in learning a particular language. To illustrate, the average Indians spent 21 hours per weak and 3 million rupees in order to learn foreign language. To conclude, there are ample evidences to believe that there is a need to introduce a new international language for communication as it will definitely benefits all the sections of the community.
